i made what i couldn't find.

back then, i was working hands-on with clients every day. body care was going on their skin + mine for hours at a time, and i wanted something plant-based, nourishing + simple enough to feel good about using that much.

i couldn't find it. so i started making it.

before natural body care was trendy.

i wanted body care i actually felt good about using every day.

the lotions i was using every day weren't what i wanted on my own skin, let alone my clients'. so i started experimenting with plant oils, rich butters + simple formulas that felt good to use again and again.

there wasn't a big brand plan. i was trying to make body care i actually wanted in my hands.

people came back because their skin felt different.

i created body butter because i wanted a better formula.

then people started telling me their dry skin felt softer. smoother. deeply moisturized. they were noticing changes in texture + coming back for more.

that wasn't the reason i created body butter. it was the reason i knew we had made something special.
