what the table taught me.
the body gives you information.
one of the things i've heard again and again is, “wow, i didn't know that hurt until you touched it.”
touch can make something noticeable that was easy to ignore before. tension. tenderness. the way you're holding yourself. the way an area feels today compared with yesterday.
once you notice something, you have information. and information gives you something to work with.
sensations give you information.
then i had to learn how to listen to myself.
for a long time, “i'm good” was the only answer i had.
someone once asked me how i felt. i said, “i'm good.”
she asked again.
and i realized i understood the question in my head, but i didn't really know how to answer it from inside myself.
that sent me into a year of learning feelings. learning the words. noticing the sensations. paying attention to what happened in my body instead of deciding what i thought i should feel.
i had spent years listening to other people's bodies. i had to learn how to listen to my own.

sensations give you information.
notice first. then listen. stay curious and see what you learn. keep you mind out of it. stay in your body.

you can still show up 100% even if you are at a 4.
it is just 100% of your level 4. this is a tool i use every day to support and care for myself. i have shared this with endless clients as a powerful toolof self care and kindness.

aging is an honor, and we can choose how we do it.
care isn't about pretending time stops. it's about participating in how you live inside the years you have. sure, read that one again :)

what this looks like for me.
i check in before i decide what i need.
how do i feel emotionally? physically? how much energy do i actually have today? what does the day require?
once i know that, i can choose how to support myself instead of automatically doing what i always do.
caring for yourself means responding to what is true, not pushing yourself to perform what is not.
there's a lot more i want to share with you.
learn with me.
classes, courses, books + more are in the works. if you want to know when something new is ready, join the list.
